Here is a sneak peek at a shoot I did tonight. I am still working with the images, but I wanted to post one for everyone and a few for the VIPs 🙂 I performed this shoot with some entry level equipment, which I will discuss this weekend… The body was my D3100 and I will talk more about the other equipment this weekend.

I get lots of questions. One of the most popular is – I want to get into photography…what should I buy? I answer that question in this video!
I was at the Grand Canyon this weekend. Before I hiked, I made a video about the new Nikon 1 series – a new line of compact, mirrorless, interchangeable lens cameras. I added a few photos from the camping/hiking trip to the video to spice it up a bit! 🙂
I have a lot of fun during my shoots. I always have music playing and usually dance around in between shots. This makes for some interesting outtakes… Here’s an example of me cracking up for everybody. VIPs, you get more outtakes when you sign in…including some dancing shots! 😉

The final selection of photos from my last shoot! I processed them in Aperture and used Color Efex Pro 3.0 and Silver Efex Pro 2 on most of them. Plus, there’s 22 images and a video for the VIPs that explains the shoot – why I did it, why I chose the wardrobe I did, how the studio was set up, how my camera was set, how I processed the images… Lots of stuff!

I’m still playing with my new set of filters – Color Efex Pro 3.0. Here’s a sample using one of the filters, Cross Processing. I have used a number of cross processing filters in the past, and this one is already one of my favorites. Also, I should mention that within the filter, you can make adjustments. In this one, I chose the “B02” cross processing style.

On Sunday night, I did a multi-part VIP shoot. I am still working with the images, and I will be making a video describing the exact steps in selecting the wardrobe, setting up the studio, lighting, and camera, and the post-processing. Basically, I will tell you everything that you need to duplicate the look of this shoot. Also, I am experimenting with Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0, so I’m a bit filter-happy at the moment!
