To get the ball rolling, I took some test shots in the backyard, where I focused on my hair, as though I were advertising a salon or some sort of hair product. I did an outdoor test shoot with the Nikon 85mm f/1.8 lens on my D800 last week. This week, I tested it out on my D800 in the studio! Here’s a test shot…

As soon as I unboxed my Nikon 85mm f/1.8 lens, I put it on my Nikon D800 and headed out to take some self-portraits! I spent some time in my backyard using natural light. Here’s one of the images… I downsized the file, but it’s otherwise unretouched so be kind!
