All about my week…
I finished my 2-part series on White Balance Setting for Mixed Lighting – Part 1 and Part 2. In the second part, I talk about how to deal with mixed lighting situations when one of the sources is your flash.
I posted a video for VIPs only, where I talk about extreme photoshopping.
I posted a video where I show you five last-minute gadget gifts that would be great for anyone this holiday season.
I’ve been messing around with the Nikon D50 in the SnapChickLab. I took it out on a field trip last weekend to Northern Arizona. And then I posted a video where I talked about how you can take great photos with an older body and it’s kit lens or maybe a prime lens. There are also photos and a video for VIPs.
Chick at Nite this week was a Question of the Day video about how I light my videos and the SnapChick Friday Morning Rewind was from my holiday shoot last year.
I posted a VLOG from Wupatki National Monument and some photos during the week too… I posted a photo of my newest obsession – Candy Cane Oreos! Another was of my shoes in the snow before I went on a run. I show you what they looked like after the run in the video below! This week I also showed you a couple photos from Northern Arizona.

The Nikon D50 has been in the SnapChickLab – I’ve been getting some amazing results! In the video below, I talk to you about using an older body to get great shots. Take a look at the examples below… Would you guess that they were taken with a 8-year old DSLR??
The studio shot was taken with the 85mm and the on-location shot was taken with the 18-55. I’ll be posting more of my thoughts on the D50 soon but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the results I’m getting – especially when I put a prime lens on it!

This week…
I finished up with the Nikon D5000 in the SnapChickLab. Now there are three videos on it – a Meet & Greet, a Body Tour & Menu Walkthrough Plus Info Display, and How I Set My Nikon D5000.
I continued my Studio Lighting Tour with a video on continuous fluorescent lighting. Part 1, which contained photos, was posted last week. Part 2, posted this week, has more photos and videos for everyone!

Chick at Nite this week was a video where I answered which DSLR is best – a super-popular topic during the holiday season!
The SnapChick Friday Morning Rewind was from a shoot two years ago with Nicole Renee, a beautiful model who had a million poses ready to go! I had so many photos that I ended up breaking up the post into three parts! You can start with Part 3 here.

I’ve been a busy SnapChick in the last couple weeks…
I collaborated with Squarespace and a viewer on a very exciting project. Squarespace offers a quick and easy all-in-one solution for your online portfolio and Steve Kempfe is a photography student who wanted to create an online presence. So I did a portfolio makeover for him using Squarespace!
The Nikon D5000 has been in the lab for a couple weeks now. I’ve posted two videos on it – a Meet & Greet and a Body Tour & Menu Walkthrough Plus Info Display.
I continued my Studio Lighting Tour by doing a shoot for my video on continuous fluorescent lighting. So far, I’ve posted photos in Part 1 and Part 2, plus a few technical specifications.
Chick at Nite last week was from a video where I talked about building a Nikon DX lens system for recreational photography and Chick at Nite this week was from a super fun shoot when I was in Chicago!
I posted a bunch of photos too… Leroy the Cat’s position while I was working and my red LEGO cargo train! And it was First Sunday too. I also shared a few other photos from my trip to Northern Arizona. A few foggy Grand Canyon photos and then some more from a chilly walk in Flagstaff. I also posted a photo of the setup for my SnapChick Lens Test of DOOM and my new awesome LEGO phone case! Also, a new lens.
I posted a couple VLOGs… One where I talked to you about how I thought I broke my toe (I didn’t). Then one on Thanksgiving morning when I was cooking.
