This was not the first Joshua tree I saw, nor the largest, but this is my favorite photo because I feel like this tree looks somehow regal, standing apart from his brothers and sisters. Plus, I couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque day, with puffy white clouds leaving interesting shadow patterns on the mountains in the distance!
